“Food was enjoyable, and the flavours were rich. But from the raving reviews, I was expecting it to be a bit more special. Gyoza was crispy and the filling was moist. Taste wise, it was a bit on the blander side, and the dipping sauce that was provided was just alright. And somehow there was corn in the filling, which I'm not a fan of. But it wasn't listed out in the menu. The fried chicken was probably our favourite. It was juicy, and perfectly fried. Shiro ramen was really rich and creamy as advertised. It was nice on its own, but tasted better after adding in the rest of the toppings. And both ramen noodles had a nice chewy texture to it. Overall, it was a nice experience. But it's not something I'll seek out in the future.”
“Visited here for the first time last week and am hesitant if i should return again. Food was really good, flavours run deep with each component of the ramen tasted and was carefully taken care of. My order had an ingredient they ran out of stock with, so they had the courtesy to ask if they can replace with another item and we happily accepted. Unfortunately the service has me questioning if i should go back. Other than the server mentioned above, we had two other waitresses who need a refresher for service: 1. Both waitresses kept dropping our trays onto the table and didnt seem like they could manage holding the tray with one hand. I understand this is a skill but for them to keep accidentally slamming the food down and not bothering to arrange it back didnt leave a good impression. It seemed like they just wanted to get the job done ASAP and nothing else. 2. Because of the above, one of my guests had an onsen egg spill most of its contents out of the small plate, leaving a mess on their tray. The waitress noticed this, looked apologetic, but did not take any action to recover. They left our table with the mess and didnt even offer to replace the egg or tray. It genuinely felt like they had no care for our experience and ignored us. The music was good, intimate seating area and somewhat private. But was quite noisy due to the layout and wooden materials of the place.”
“Possibly the best ramen I’ve ever had! Most definitely the best I’ve had in KL. Both the shio and the shoyu were great. I enjoyed the information and instructions they give on the print-out on the table: it tells the full story of the restaurant, all the ingredients in the food, and also the recommended way to eat it. It’s quite fun… you get to add the different components and taste at every step what that adds to the meal overall. Loved it. They also have condiments at the side (also with explanation labels, lol) for added customisation. We also got the dumpling and the chicken karage which were alright, quite yummy, but the ramen is definitely the star of the show. Totally recommend. I still think about this ramen regularly.”
“Had very little expectations going in, and came out quite impressed. Had the shiro version. Silky smooth broth that delivered a surprisingly deep flavour despite being minimalist. Perfectly cooked slices of chicken breast. And the shredded seaweed-broth combo was almost an art form. My go-to place for artisan chicken broth ramen in KL so far. Will visit again. PS: The seasonal Kinoko (creamy mushroom) ramen is insanely good. Earthy, creamy and full of umami.”
“Tried Minamo Japanese Ramen as it has been on my to-go for a while... and ordered the Shiro Ramen (and also the gyoza), expecting to miss my usual tonkotsu comfort zone. Instead, I got pleasantly surprised by how rich and clean the chicken broth tasted. It was light but still deeply satisfying, which is not easy to pull off. Slight heartbreak moment: no oomori or kaedama available, so I left both (kindda) full and emotionally unfinished. If that’s not a good sign, I don’t know what is. Would happily come back just to eat it twice; or maybe order 2 bowls next time? 🥲🤤 Edit: went 4 times now, and have tried aka, mushroom, and beef. ALL GOOD! 🤤”
