“I was looking for a dermatologist to check for skin cancer as I have had previous basal cell carcinoma that required treatment and surgery. I hadn’t had a checkup for two years. I researched a number of hospitals in the Pattaya/ Sattahip region and made a decision on Pattaya Memorial Hospital. Pricing varied across the four different hospitals I contacted from 1,400 THB - 2,500 THB which was for the consultation with the dermatologist and additional costs for any treatment. I hadn’t been to any hospitals in Thailand so my first experience was very positive. I was advised that no appointment was needed and just turn up which I did, on arrival I went to the registration desk advised what I wanted, I provided my passport, confirmed my address and phone number. They took my photo, photocopied my passport and directed me to another station where my weight and blood pressure was checked. I was then directed to take a seat. This was undertaken within 10 minutes of arrival. A staff member came over and provided a registration form which had my details completed including my photo, I was asked to sign the form and wait for the dermatologist. A further 5 minutes passed and I noticed that there were signs requesting that everyone wear a mask, I asked one of the staff and they obtained a mask for me. I was then admitted to see the dermatologist who checked the area’s of concern, she explained very clearly which spots were potentially problematic and used photos to explain why. Treatment was provided liquid nitrogen and ointment was recommended for the following month with a further evaluation in 6 months. I paid for the consultation, treatment and ointment and was out of the hospital within 35 minutes of arrival. I found that the whole process was extremely efficient and the staff engaging and importantly for me the dermatologist had an excellent command of English. The waiting room was clean and comfortable. The bill was higher than expected but I would definitely recommend this hospital. Thank you to everyone who assisted me yesterday ✌️”
“I had a very disappointing experience with this hospital. The service was extremely poor, and I deeply regret choosing this place for treatment. The staff showed a clear lack of care and professionalism, and their attitude toward patients was far from acceptable. When I arrived at the emergency room, everything was incredibly slow despite the urgency of the situation. What made it worse was the high cost, which felt completely unjustified given the level of service provided. Upon entering the emergency department, a staff member walked past, clearly saw me, and chose to ignore me without offering any assistance. Even when I called out, I was completely ignored. After waiting for a while, another staff member finally approached me, but spoke in a very unpleasant and unprofessional tone. Overall, this experience was frustrating and disappointing. I expected much better care, especially from an emergency service. I would not recommend this place unless significant improvements are made!”
“First and foremost just want to state that this review was made out of good will and for contribution to patients and the doctors and nurses in the medical industry. As commonly seen Thai doctors and nurses are amazing kind and especially skillful by industry standards. No ill intentions or prejudice against particular persons. Went to seek urgent cure as I suspected i had cholera or diarrhoea due to food poisoning. But after getting registered a government hospital nearby to this private hospital suggested waiting was too long for my urgent condition so the counter staff helpfully redirected me to come to Pattaya Memorial hospital. And so I was here and got registered at the front counter staff was ok. But not the second staff at another counter who took my body temperature. She passed the thermometer and gestured to insert under my armpit. I then answered an important call as I need to prepare payment for hospital expenses and inform my family members and work partners in case I need be hospitalised after. That nurse was frowning and looking horrid while seeing me busy talking over the phone, she finally reacted to point at my arm meaning she wanted to retrieve the thermometer from me. So I took it out and handed it to her and she didn't even know to say thanks or excuse.Next she told me to wait there but who was she talking to I'm not sure me or another patient, and where exactly outside which room and the way she said it to me was like definitely rude because by medical care standard she should have gently shown the patient so there was no error. So judging from her initial attitude, the patient service outcome would be expectably far worse if my wife (Thai) wasn't with me all the while there. Soon my turn came the doctor examined me. He was courteous, attentive and cautious when checking my condition. He finished off with instructions to stop taking solid, indigestible, spicy and sour food during treatment period and prescribed oral medicine. We wai thanks and goodbye to him and he warmly wai back to us. Later experience with the pharmacist, the cashier was great too. But bill was over 2000baht bit too costly for outpatient treatment of this category. Main factor for improvement is hopefully the pricing and also taking greater care in hiring of nurses as wrong staff selection pose a risk to patient's wellness and health.”
“Exceptional service and incredibly fast check-up I had an excellent experience at Pattaya Memorial Hospital. I chose the Deluxe health check-up package, and everything was handled with truly impressive efficiency — the speed was honestly factory-level fast. From registration to the examinations, everything was well-organized and smooth. The staff were extremely professional, polite, and genuinely caring. The hospitality was outstanding, and I felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire process. If you’re looking for a hospital in Pattaya that offers fast service, clear procedures, and friendly staff, I can highly recommend Pattaya Memorial Hospital. I would definitely return for future check-ups.”
“I have been a patient here several times and was actually satisfied at first, but last time the hospital and the doctors treating me completely failed. Instead of admitting me as an inpatient, they treated me as an outpatient. The result was that the severe bacterial infection later returned, as it had not been completely eliminated from my body. This would not have happened if I had been admitted as an inpatient, so I now had to be treated as an inpatient at another hospital with a much more serious infection. Unfortunately, I can no longer return here as a patient; after all, I want to live, not die.”
