RAMEN KAISUGI Bangkok

“Sapporo style noodles with a tonkotsu soup base. What’s not to love? The broth was rich, intensely flavourful and lip smackingly good, rivaling many Kyushu ramen shops I’ve visited in Japan. The bowl came absolutely loaded with char siew, a beautifully molten ajitama, crunchy black fungus, greens and oddly enough, chopped red onions which somehow worked surprisingly well together. The gyoza was excellent too, clearly not the usual supermarket frozen variety. Service was patient and attentive throughout. I was completely parched after a gym workout, and the young lady serving me kept thoughtfully refilling my iced green tea without hesitation. Food here is about as good as it gets outside of Japan. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and return to.”

“I found this place through google map on “ramen” recommendations, and I was pleasantly surprised! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. I tried their lunch set, which was incredibly good value at 399+. I got all the appetizers, ramen, drink, hand roll, and ice cream. I think they’ve adapt the flavors to suit the local taste. The soup wasn’t too salty or creamy, which was a nice change from traditional ramen. It’s located in Sukhumvit 39, and there’s plenty of parking available. If you’re a ramen fan, you won’t be disappointed!”
