Sapiens Restaurant

“Can hardly call it fine dining. My experience at this establishment left much to be desired, and I found myself reflecting on the various aspects that contributed to my disappointment. The atmosphere was far from inviting; in fact, it was downright terrible. A large party table was situated nearby, and their raucous laughter and loud conversations created a cacophony that drowned out any chance of meaningful dialogue with my dining companions. It was so overwhelming that I wished the restaurant would simply close its doors to the public for the night, sparing us from what felt like a colossal waste of time and money. As for the food, the raw duck was particularly distressing. It had an unsettling texture and flavor that reminded me of uncooked chicken, which is never a good sign when it comes to poultry. The culinary expectations I had were dashed with each bite, leaving me longing for something more expertly prepared. The black spaghetti, while not outright terrible, was merely average—lacking the depth of flavor and creativity that one hopes for in a dish that should evoke excitement. The Caesar salad, however, did have a redeeming quality: the dressing was quite nice, rich and creamy, with just the right amount of tanginess to elevate the greens. Yet, I found myself wishing for a more substantial protein option; I would gladly trade the dried bacon for a succulent chicken steak. The bacon, while crispy, felt somewhat out of place and did not complement the salad as I had hoped. On a brighter note, the lava chocolate cake was a delightful finish to the meal. It had that perfect gooey center that one expects from such a dessert, but I couldn't help but think it could be even better. The ice cream could have been served in larger balls and offered in a variety of flavors to provide a more indulgent experience. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the tuna dish. It was brilliantly executed, showcasing a creative twist on the traditional som tum preparation. The flavors were vibrant and fresh, making it a standout on the otherwise lackluster menu. If we were to walk in again at this very moment, it would surely be an order of tuna all around, as it was the only dish that truly impressed. Despite this one shining moment, I doubt I will be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. The overall experience fell short of my expectations, and I left feeling a sense of regret. I had hoped for a memorable dining experience, but instead, I was met with a series of disappointments that overshadowed the few positive aspects. Sadly, this visit did not live up to the fine dining experience I was anticipating, and I can't help but feel let down by what could have been a wonderful evening.”

“I’ve put Sapiens on my Google Map for a while and it’s not far from my condo, but didn’t have the chance to go. We went there tonight for New Year’s dinner, the food was great!! Beef Wellington was very juicy and tender, the Caesar Salad was the best I’ve had in Chiang Mai! Will definitely go again and recommend to my friends!”

“The Resturant has pleasant atmosphere but food wise was averagely good. But I regret not ordering their meat or poultry sections while I went for their pastas and salads and fish dish. All were good but not great. I will still head back for another try on their meat section sometime later to give a it another try”

“Sapiens Restaurant is such a beautiful place, and the food is absolutely on point. Everything is tremendously good... The chef truly knows what he’s doing and has worked in top high-end restaurants before. It’s always a pleasure to come here and indulge in these tasty, perfectly balanced meals. It’s hard to choose a favourite, but the Beef Wellington is a must, as well as the gnocchi with truffle sauce.”
