“Great service, we came here with a wheelchair and staff assisted our mobility concerns. Side dish refills were refilled regularly. Food is great, I really enjoyed the sundubu jjigae. Cary payments (google wallet) is accepted. We arrived around 5PM and there are plenty of seats, people came pouring in around 6PM onwards.”

“I availed their ultimate lunch and the price is worth it. I chose the beef bibimbap and there is unlimited side dish. There is an iced tea and coffee jelly as a dessert. I am so full. The taste is delicious. I love the food and service.”

“Dined at Soban Robinsons Manila on January 10. This was my 4th time dining at Soban, and I usually eat at the SM Megamall branch, which has always been consistent. At Robinsons Manila, the staff were not smiling and the usual “Annyeonghaseyo, welcome to Soban” greeting was missing. It was difficult to get assistance since most of the crew stayed in the kitchen. When asking for refills and help, the staff seemed unhappy, which made us uncomfortable, especially since a service charge is included. Food was okay but lacking. The kimchi was bland, not spicy, and tasted under fermented despite multiple refills. The meat servings were smaller. I also ordered a 500g kimchi takeout, but it tasted even worse and felt like a waste of money. I dined at Soban SM Megamall today to compare before posting this review, and the difference was clear. The Robinsons Manila branch was disappointing.”

We ordered the barbecue grill set for two and were hoping for a brief introduction of the different meats and flavors, but none was given, which would have helped, especially for first-time diners. The restaurant wasn’t busy that night, yet we had to flag down staff multiple times just to request more side dishes and later to get the bill. Our assigned waiter never checked on our table, and someone else eventually dropped off the check. There’s a service charge included (which is fine), and I usually add gratuity on top of that, but this time I didn’t due to the lack of attentiveness.”
