“We made it a sunset event. Reservations are a must although the manager Jamal can help if you ask nicely. We not only got a seat, he was able to move us to the balcony later. How good is that! We were there for pre-dinner drinks but did ordered some quesadillas and the pork belly. Both are good and recommended to try. So good food, great vibes and the Singapore River as a backdrop means this was an outing to remember and revisit. The rooftop overlooks Parliament, Empress Place and Boat Quay. It's a galore of the river's landmarks. Once night fell and the mood lights came on, the experience got even better.”

“Southbridge does two things very well; the view and the drinks. Its the perfect place for an after-dinner drinks and its a place where you can stay for hours, keeping the drinks flowing with good vibes and ambience while looking at the view that you just can't get bored of. Special mention to the bartender for making a damm good Gin & Tonic. Its a simple concoction, but the balance, the use of garnishes and the serving glass in a generous quantity is much appreciated. Its not often said, but this G&T is delicious. However, as mentioned above I would recommend that you have your dinner elsewhere first. Unfortunately, one of the miss for me would be the food where they were very lacklustre in the taste and presentation. At the price for the bar bites, one would expect a higher caliber for from the kitchen. Cheers!”

“Super underrated bar with fantastic views! The staff were attentive amazing, the cocktails were some of the nicest I’ve had, and overall it was a great place with good music. The Rosemary Baby cocktail especially is terrific. It has pretty limited seating which made for nice, intimate, cozy vibes. Would definitely recommend to both locals & tourists.”

“Southbridge Bar, located on the fifth floor of a building on Southbridge Road, offers an impressive first impression. As soon as you step out of the lift, the bar sits prominently in the centre of a terrace, surrounded by open space and great views. Even if the weather turns, there’s no need to worry—the retractable marquee keeps the area comfortably sheltered. The nighttime views are definitely a highlight, with the river and surrounding high-rises lit up beautifully. It’s an ideal spot if you’re after ambience and scenery. However, the drinks themselves were less memorable. The gin and tonic was average and lacked any interesting garnishes that might elevate the experience. During happy hour, a Roku gin and tonic was priced at $14—which, while comparable to London prices, still feels steep. On top of that, there is an additional 10% sales tax and a further 10% service charge, meaning your final bill will be about 20% higher than expected. It’s worth keeping this in mind when ordering. Seating consists mainly of high stools and high tables, which may not suit everyone but fits the casual terrace vibe. Overall, Southbridge Bar offers lovely views and a pleasant atmosphere, but the drinks and pricing leave room for improvement.”
