“We dropped by this street food for dinner. We found a lot of variety of local and international food here at reasonable prices. There were also art and souvenir shops. It was a little difficult to get a seat as it was crowded, even on a weekday. We enjoyed our meal here of rice and dishes, mango juice and mango sticky rice.”

“The market itself is great, but Ed and Nut make it worth seeking out! We had pictures of our pets commissioned with Ed & Nut at the Kalare food market Chiang Mai and I can not recommend them highly enough. This duo are extremely talented and some of the friendliest people I have ever met. We sat chatting with Ed about the works in his shop for 20 minutes before we even decided to get some work done. There was no pressure to buy at all. Communication was flawless. The prices are well below what I consider this work to be worth. My total was 2400 bht for the 3 small pieces. My friends total was 2000 bht for the medium. The photos I provided of my dogs didn’t have ears so I sent multiple and asked him to add ears which he was happy to do (Nut does some of the work but doesn’t speak English as fluently so all directions goes through Ed however Nut is still absolutely lovely) I will add the reference photos we sent below as well as the paintings. My only regret is that I didn’t take a photo before they wrapped because I was so overcome with emotion at the sight of my best mate who passed away earlier this year. I was in absolute tears at how well he captured him (the black and white one) I will add photos again once home and unwrapped because these do no justice to the stunning work provided. “They have the best street food court in the area, with live music and performance. Great choices and decent food. Come early for a table or be prepared to wait for one to avail itself. The place is quite clean and breezy. Love the atmosphere.”

“[April 2023] Not that great night market. Many shopping stall not open. But most food vendors just gather together at the square. Surrounding is extremely warm and lack of ventilation. And not many fans too. Food quantity below average. Yet some are better options than the others. We've tried a couple and summarised as below. Steamed seafood/ grilled seafood: ordered Salted grilled tilapia fish. Although coated with salt but inside has no taste at all. Fish is fresh. The Cili sauce is extremely good. It really open up the appetite with spicy sour kicks. Coconut ice cream : coconut water are the best for the warm place. The water is plentiful and sweet and refreshing. It was served as chilled whole coconut. Pad thai: average sweet noodle. Not as great. Many ingredients given. Dimsum & spring roll: we ordered fried spring roll. Quite blant taste. But the filling is very generous. A little oily and fried super crispy. Huge spring roll worth the penny. Skewer (Next to gyoza stall): texture wasn't good. Taste and sauce not great. You may skip this.”
