“Overall 7/10, would eat here again but not first choice. Leaving a review of the food we ate: Salted egg chicken skin - 8/10 A unique gastro experience, the chicken was quite greasy but crisp. The sauce actually tasted like salted egg, and blends perfectly with the vinegar dip. Would love to have this with beer. Fish and chips - 7/10 Big serving, good for 2, nakaka-umay after the first 5 bites, but the sauces are good. Fries were crispy and had the right amount of salt. Would recommend for sharing. Salmon Kale - 8.5/10 large serving, crisp salmon skin and moist meat. Quinoa was perfectly cooked and the kale topping complemented the fish. I only wish there was more pumpkin puree which elevated the dish more. Highly recommend this for its price! Brazilian Limenaid - 7/10 refreshing! wouldve been better if they blended the ice and lime. tastes like any other lemonade, not worth the moolah but still good”
“We had a lovely dining experience at Fatseed One Ayala. The ambiance is warm, modern, and relaxing perfect for a casual catch-up or a special meal with friends. The Gaba Chop Chicken was crispy and flavorful, while the Mushroom Fritters were light, crunchy, and delicious. For mains, the Grilled Chicken Quinoa Bowl was healthy yet satisfying, and the Fish and Chips was a clear standout—crispy, tender, and truly a must-try. Sarap!!! 😋 We wrapped up with the Overloaded Chocolate Brownie à la Mode, rich and indulgent, perfectly paired with vanilla ice cream. ✨ Highly recommended! Big thanks to the chef's behind the scene and the friendly staff for a great dining experience. 🍽️👏”
“Decent dinner overall. I had the breakfast steak skillet. It was good, but I have definitely had better elsewhere. I feel like the flavor could still be improved a bit. The Iced Spanish Latte with oat milk was a standout. It was so good that I even brought the leftovers home. The place is well decorated, located on the ground floor of One Ayala. There are plenty of seats inside, though no outdoor seating. The ambiance leans more on the loud side, so it is great for catching up with friends and family, but not ideal if you are looking for something calm and quiet. I have not tried their most recommended dishes yet, so I will definitely be back. The staff were very polite, efficient, and quick with service. Special mention to Miss MJ. She was great.”
“I've visited another Fat Seed branch before, so I came in with high expectations, and this visit didn't disappoint. I arrived around 2 PM on a busy Monday last May and the place was packed. Since I was meeting friends later, I asked if I could start at a smaller table and move once a larger one became available. Despite how busy they were, the staff remembered my request and immediately let me know when a table opened up. It was a small thing, but it left a great impression. While waiting, I ordered an iced flat white, shakshuka, and mushroom fritters. My friends later had the kimchi rice with bacon slab and the signature pork chop. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the kimchi rice ended up being a surprise favorite at our table. What I appreciated most was that even with a full house, the cafe never felt chaotic. I spent more than an hour reading before my friends arrived and was able to do so comfortably. Good food, good coffee, and genuinely attentive service. I'll definitely be back.”
“Last November, a quick afternoon coffee run led to my discovery of The Fat Seed’s Manuka Honey Latte, which instantly became a favorite. I’d always assumed most iced coffees tasted alike, but the honey adds a distinct, surprisingly delicious depth to the coffee. Returning this December to satisfy that honey latte craving, the drink was just as good as I remembered. However, the real standout this time was the Fried Chicken and Ube Waffles served with Bacon-Infused Maple Syrup and Salted Egg Sauce. The pairing of the ube waffles with the salted egg sauce was phenomenal: the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and umami in every bite. Service remained impressive even with the restaurant packed during the lunch rush, and orders still came out quickly. The only drawback was the bar seating. Since no tables were open, it wasn’t the most comfortable option, though solo diners might appreciate it more. Overall, this spot still earns a well-deserved five stars in my book. I’ll definitely be returning for this meal again.”
