“Had this on 2nd September but only just got the chance to post now. They opened on Vietnamese Independence Day, so there was a 10% public holiday surcharge, which was totally fine and reasonable. Absolutely obsessed with their Flat white, the tulip was so cute I couldn’t help myself and took multiple pics with my green crochet heart 💚 Everything in the sandwich was super fresh, especially the toast! I had brunch outside and the vibe was exactly what I was looking for. First time here, but everything just clicked. I also loved the music, speaker kind of gave off an old-school radio sound. Shout out to the staff as well — they did an amazing job looking out for customers. I didn’t even have to call them over; they just knew when I was ready to order and pay. Would love to come back and try more!”
“This was a return to Australia after a couple of weeks' tour of Vietnam. The ambience is Cafe cross sports bar. There was a recent West Coast Eagles v Port game team on the overhead TV. Chalk boards had an explanation of the coffee drinks ordered in a tree structure (appeals to my IT background or OCD, I'm not sure which). The menu will have something that even fussy kids will eat. And little wonder, the food is comfort food, and the staff will tailor a dish to suit the more... discerning. The wait staff all speak great English and the service is excellent. If they're going to take a while preparing something they'll tell you up front. The food is very western, nicely portioned and yummy. Photos are attached. Coffee is good. I tried the Egg coffee (OMG so nice.. I wish these were made and sold in Australia) and the double espresso. And a milkshake.. or two. Everything worked. We'll be heading back there tomorrow. PS We returned. This time I tried a Vietnamese pork dish, and I was very glad I did. They got that one really well. More photos attached. PPS. I forgot to mention that the humble Aussie Meat Pie is on the menu...if you're missing home, or just want to know what it's like to be Strine.😁”
“As a canadian I come back to this restaurant each year I’m in Saigon (4th time) because of the Australian/British breakfast. They do have Vietnamese options as well. However when I’m jet lagged the first days in Asia I tend to need food I’m used to for my stomach. This place is AMAZING! Each and every time. I’ve eaten breakfast here approx 15-20 times. Firstly, the people working here are the absolute best! They’re so friendly and wonderful I wish I could go even more, I looked forward to seeing them each day and talking with them. If you’re worried at all about English, don’t be, the speak English as well as I do. I’d like to say a personal thank you for making my mornings start so great and my trip to Saigon so memorable to: Nghia, Steve, My and Vete. There are other people I didn’t get your names but you are not forgotten! Nghia is the artist making the beautiful coffee art photos I’ve posted. So talented! The coffees are so delicious some of the best I’ve had in Vietnam which says a lot. The food is great for the cost, it’s a bit pricier but that’s because it’s a western/Australia cuisine. Don’t hesitate. I had a make your own breakfast, eggs Benedict, yogurt bowl, breakfast bagel, freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious cappuccinos! We ordered 2-3 coffees, 2 meals, fresh juice and 2 bottled waters costing approx $30 CAD. Definitely come here!”
“I can’t give this place enough stars. We loved it so much we went back again the next day. The food is outstanding and made with so much care. The Vietnamese egg coffee is the best in HCMC.”
“Lovely! Went there this morning with my dad and 6 year old son, and all 3 of us were happy with our food. My dad's asian noodles was tasty and the portion was big. My son and I had the breakfast with 2 eggs and it was just right for both us. I'm always happy when the bread is sourdough and not just the standard white toast. I was also happy with my Chai latte. We got there around 8am and it was pretty empty but it got crowded quickly and food takes some time (but that's fine for us knowing that it's freshly made!) so if you're in a rush, go early. Waiters all attentive, polite and speak English (the best I've encountered this whole week) so that was helpful!”
