“We came here mainly for the cocktail but having food together will always be a bonus. Cocktails flavours are very complex, well made - they managed to translate a plate of dish onto a drink which was masterful in my opinion. I first had the Lim Collins which was refreshing and then Guluyuk which I adore. Well balanced, Sweet sour taste just right up my alley. My partner had the Raita and Banyak masa-lah. Again, it’s amazing to see an actual raita flavour captured here. The Banyak masalah is not for us, an acquired taste id say but that’s more to the flavour profile than the actual preference, execution wise was great. Food- I think this is where it fell short for us. The masak lemak sliders was lacking the masak lemak taste, and the patty was too well done for a wagyu based meat; it should justify RM 50 price point but we struggled. I had the gnocchi sweet potato dish; the gnocchi itself was too dense and too big for a bite. After 5 pieces you felt a bit “jelak”. If it’s softer, smaller- it will be perfect. The sauce however was good, full of flavour but the duck bacon pieces was too small that it’s almost invisible in the dish. The mushroom however add those depth and I wished I had more of it. My partner had the duck which was too salty to my liking; but he’s alright with it. It’s a great dish overall. Great explanation by the person who attended to us, cozy ambiance and great drinks well made.”

“Riff District is a true hidden gem. John, Gabs, and Imran are seriously amazing (you can feel the passion in everything they do). They’re not just great bartenders, they’re amazing hosts who made me and my girlfriend feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. The cocktails here are on another level. Bold, creative, and full of character. They somehow made a pandan-inspired drink without using pandan (and it still captured the essence perfectly). That level of creativity says it all. I absolutely love the warmth, energy, and hospitality of the entire team. It’s rare to find a place that feels this personal and genuine. More people definitely need to know about this spot. Every dish was beautifully plated, making each course a visual delight as well as a treat for the taste buds. What truly stood out, though, was their hidden menu of cocktails and mocktails. We tried a few of their special drinks, and they were absolutely refreshing, unique, and the perfect complement to our meal.
