“Top Rock Bar is a true hidden gem and clearly a family-run place with a lot of character. The walk up is winding and a bit demanding, especially in the heat, but once you reach the top and see the view, you understand why it’s worth it. The panorama and the relaxed setting create a very special atmosphere. The hospitality feels genuine and personal, which makes the experience even better. If someone complains about the very laid-back vibe, they probably haven’t understood the concept of this place or the spirit of Koh Phangan. For us, that relaxed atmosphere is exactly what makes it special.”

“The view from this bar is absolutely wonderful. Watching the sunset from up there was such a beautiful experience – definitely a really good apot to enjoy it. It’s a great place to meet friends and just take in the atmosphere. I ordered a fresh pressed orange juice and unfortunately it wasn’t enjoyable. There was so much ice and so many orange seeds inside that it was hard to drink and didn’t taste good. Overall, it’s a really lovely spot for sunset. Just make sure to arrive early because it gets very crowded around that time if you want a good seat.”

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. You can really feel the warmth of a family-run business in every detail. “Best bar I’ve ever been to anywhere in the world. The best vibes, live music, absolutely unrealllll views, the coolest seating with so many cool spots- on the wooden decking, on a big rock by the trees, in little hidden alcoves, up on the terrace, the list goes on. Everybody there was also friendly and just so happy and grateful to be there! The owner is lovely and you can tell how much love goes into the place. Could not recommend enough. I’ll come back to Koh Samui just for this place!”
