“Excellent What a great new addition to the ever burgeoning Phnom Penh restaurant scene. This authentic Italian restaurant is just brilliant. Excellent wine list including some great imported Italian wines. The food was sensational. Fresh quality Italian food. Pizza excellent but the winner for me was the risotto with truffle. Excellent friendly service. Went for lunch. I will be returning to this gem.”

“Absolutely delicious Italian food! Great spot for groups and couples. The staff is very nice and attentive. They have a lovely wine list and several non-dairy food options too. The bolognese pasta is amazing as is the olive tapende & buratta crostini, potato croquettes, and tomato brushetta. Bacaro is my new favorite Italian restaurant in Phnom Penh!”

“Visited Bacaro on a whim. Didn’t really know what to eat for Sunday lunch and thought tapas would give us the opportunity to sample multiple dishes. I am so glad we did. The food was excellent as was the service. It might sound a bit cliched, but the meatballs in a tomato sauce were sublime and the roasted peppers with anchovies, whilst simple were delicious. The whole meal consisted of simple dishes prepared perfectly, allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves. The dessert, tiramisu with amaretto, deserves a special mention. Although not strictly speaking ‘traditional’ - I suspect mascarpone was replaced with an alternative cream - the candied nuts on top was Inspired. Overall, a great meal with a good bottle of pinot Grigio at a very reasonable price. I will certainly revisit again.”

“If I could give 6 stars I would. I love a restaurant that has it all figured out. Robust menu, highly attentive AND friendly staff, and reasonable prices for what you get. So glad I came here so early on my first trip to PP as I’ll be back again before my holiday ends. The mushroom soup was incredibly good and a very generous portion at that. The staff are numerous and on top of their game. Really worked well together and all requests fulfilled so very quickly. A charming atmosphere during the late lunch hour with what I inferred were some regulars dining as well as new fans such as myself. Excellent execution.”
