“An unforgettable Cambodian fine dining experience✨ We had the 6-course set menu at Cuisine Wat Damnak and it was a truly memorable culinary journey from start to finish. The menu beautifully showcased authentic Cambodian flavours while elevating them with refined French-influenced techniques and presentation. Every course felt thoughtful and balanced, highlighting local ingredients in creative ways without losing the essence of the cuisine. The standout dishes for us were the langoustine yellow curry with blue crab dumpling — absolutely incredible — as well as the homemade sour lemongrass beef sausage. The grouper with calamari and fresh green peppercorn was another exceptional dish, packed with flavour and perfectly cooked. Beyond the food, the service was outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely accommodating, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. A fantastic introduction to modern Cambodian gastronomy and easily one of the most memorable meals we've had in Phnom Penh. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic yet sophisticated dining experience!”
“A truly memorable experience. I had the 8 course Vegan tasting menu and was impressed by the presentation, creativity, and versatility of ingredients, flavors and aromas. Kudos to the chef/owner for offering such a comprehensive vegan experience at a restaurant where vegans are obviously not the demographic he aims for. The restaurant is very pleasantly decorated and chill music was playing in the background. Service was very good, although staff became very chatty with each other towards the end. I was surprised there was only one other party there for dinner last night, I would think the place would be more popular given how much I enjoyed my experience. I hope it makes it! Certainly deserves Michelin mention in my humble opinion.”
“Cuisine Wat Damnak delivered a truly memorable dining experience in Siem Reap, particularly in our situation (20th anniversary). The degustation menu beautifully reveals the breadth and refinement of South-East Asian cuisine, with each course thoughtfully composed and full of character. Set in elegant, serene surroundings, the restaurant offers a calm and intimate atmosphere that perfectly complements the food. The staff are exceptionally attentive, making the entire evening feel both relaxed and special. A must-visit for anyone seeking fine dining in Siem Reap with a strong sense of place.”
“Absolutely delicious! We tried the 11‑course tasting menu and every dish was a delight. Honestly, I wouldn’t have selected half of these dishes if I had ordered à la carte, but the tasting menu showcased a beautiful blend of Khmer and French techniques that worked perfectly. The use of local products—meat, seafood, fish, vegetables—was outstanding, and the desserts were splendid. We also had cocktails, which were well made and complemented the meal nicely. The restaurant design is elegant and stylish, leaning towards a minimalist aesthetic with tasteful wooden touches. The staff were superb: attentive, professional, and warm, making the service excellent throughout. The experience was so good that we’ve already booked to visit their Siem Reap location in a few days. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined dining experience in Phnom Penh.”
“Wow! Highly recommended! This is our second visit in two years (we tried the tasting menu last year). This year’s festive tasting menu was amazing and well worth the slightly higher price (USD 65 pp). Each dish was a taste sensation, innovative and a creative Asian/Western journey (see photos and menu). The standouts were langoustine soup (reminiscent to a refined laksa but elevated by the complementary ingredients) and the beef cheeks! The restaurant is quiet and not crowded (only three occupied tables when we visited on a weekday). The staff are attentive and professional. Only downside is the ambience and decor which is a bit bland and generic (in contrast to the food) Probably one of our top picks for Phnom Penh other than Kravanh and Sombok (more traditional Khmer food). Thank you, we will be back!”
