“Had a wonderful dining experience at Casa Palma in Manila. The food was genuinely very good — creative, original, and thoughtfully executed. The menu leans into a fusion concept in a way that feels intentional; you can really tell there’s attention to detail in both flavor and presentation. We sat in the à la carte dining room and loved having a front-seat, bird’s-eye view into the kitchen. I also really enjoyed the way the space creates an “outdoor” feel indoors: relaxing, boho-chic, casual yet special. Service was lovely from start to finish, and I especially want to thank Dawn, who welcomed us so warmly when we arrived and took the time to chat with us — such a thoughtful touch. Ingredient quality was excellent (everything tasted fresh), and nearly everything we tried was delicious. One dish wasn’t a favorite for a couple of our guests, but it came down to texture/personal preference rather than taste or quality. We ended up staying for drinks for several hours, and the cocktails were excellent as well. Michelin star or not — it’s honestly irrelevant. We had a memorable, genuinely enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend!”
“My husband and I absolutely loved our experience dining here in Kása Palma for my 29th birthday. We booked the 10-course meal as a treat for both of us, and we left the restaurant feeling super satisfied. Literally, the food kept coming even though we felt we were ready to give up. The flavors and textures of each dish were super unique, but in the end, they still felt very Filipino. This place truly deserved being awarded a Michelin star. I am looking forward to our next flight back home to the Philippines, as we will for sure try their regular menu as well.”
“Kása Palma delivers a thoughtfully curated dining experience that blends refined technique with a relaxed, tropical aesthetic. From the moment you enter, the ambiance sets the tone—warm lighting, natural textures, and an open, almost resort-like layout that feels both intimate and unpretentious. Originally planned to be located in Palawan. The menu reflects strong culinary intent. Each course is well-composed, with a clear balance of flavors and textures. Highlights include the seafood-forward dishes, which were executed with precision and freshness, and the creative use of local and seasonal elements from the provinces. Presentation was consistently elegant without feeling overly contrived. Service was attentive and well-paced, allowing the progression of dishes to feel natural rather than rushed, a very important detail in a tasting menu experience. Overall, the experience was highly satisfying. One minor observation: for desserts that are meant to be refreshing or temperature-driven, serving them on chilled plates could further elevate the finish and preserve the intended contrast and texture. It’s a small detail, but one that would align well with the restaurant’s otherwise meticulous execution. A refined yet approachable dining destination with strong culinary identity, definitely worth returning to.”
“TL;DR - Delicious but the ten-course isn't worth it This place charges P8500 for a ten course meal (+ service charge) for a 1* Michelin meal. This is easily over a quarter of an average Filipino's monthly wage so we're expecting fantastic service and ambience. Unfortunately, I don't think Kasa Palma quite lived up to it. Service was just pretty good but not amazing. My partner waited five minutes to get someone's attention to order another a drink, servers forgot to grab all the utensils between courses, and no one offered to replace our water when our still water ran out. The food though was great! The starter courses and especially the desserts were on another level. I do however wish the main courses were on the same level as the desserts - while they were definitely flashy, I don't think the flavors came together as well as I would've liked, especially the spiny lobster and the pork belly. The bathroom was also completely not appropriate for a Michelin starred place. The faucet is broken and the toilet seat wasn't cleaned, completely unacceptable for a place that cost this much. In the end, other Michelin starred places like Helm, Toyo Eatery, or Inato offer cheaper or comparable prices for better service, better ambience, and arguably better food.”
“My wife and I like to do tasting menus from different restaurants and we found that the michelin star awarded to this restaurant to be well deserved. The words 'Fine dining' and 'Filipino food' are not words that usually go together but this restaurant was able to pull it off - with flying colors. We especially liked the Lechon de Lobster, but each course in the 10 course meal was excellent in its own right. The ambiance however is something we thought could be improved. They are located in a somewhat strange street in Makati. Not a place fit for a Michelin starred restautant.”
