“If you’re looking for a proper fine dining experience in Phnom Penh, Topaz belongs firmly on your list and the 3-course set lunch menu is honestly one of the best value propositions in the city right now. Wine included? Yes, a choice of red or white. Enough said. I came solo for lunch and worked my way through what turned out to be a genuinely memorable meal. It opened with a charming amuse-bouche of scrambled egg, delicate, precise, a quiet little hello from the kitchen. Then came the lobster tail starter, and from that first bite, it was clear this kitchen means business. Beautifully executed, full of flavour, nothing fussy about it. But here’s the thing nobody warns you about: the bread and butter. I am still thinking about it. Do not rush past it. Do not treat it as a placeholder. Treat it with the respect it deserves. For mains, I went with the beef striploin, tender, well-seasoned, the kind of dish that makes you slow down and actually pay attention to what you’re eating. Genuinely one of the best things I’ve had in Phnom Penh. Now, dessert. I almost skipped the coconut option, coconut and I have a complicated relationship. But my server gently, confidently insisted. She was absolutely right. It was elegant, balanced, nothing overpowering the other, just a lovely, composed ending to the meal. The service was warm and attentive. My one honest piece of feedback: as a solo diner, I would have loved a little more storytelling around the dishes, the ingredients, the inspiration, the why behind each plate. That narrative connection would elevate an already excellent experience into something truly unforgettable. Will I be back? Without question. Topaz is the kind of restaurant that makes you want to return just to explore the rest of the menu. A must-visit when you’re in Phnom Penh”

“Made reservations online and stated it’s for a date, and the prepare a very nice table decoration. However, service was not the best, we were still in the middle of eating our salad and they took our plate. Seems like they want us to leave as soon as possible, where they did not have any guest. it supposed to be relax and intimate dining experience, it’s a fine dining class already, we spent almost 200. The food, it was not pleasant, wagyu meat had a lot of fat and not edible. Salmon came with pasta and still tastes like flour and no seasoning. But they gave us some complimentary starters.”

“Came here for dinner with a large group and had a great experience. We ordered a few starters and a large steak to share. I had the foie gras, which was comforting and reminded me of home, while my girlfriend had the salmon tartare, it was simple, well executed, and very refined. I especially liked it because there was a thin layer of caviar on the top which helped elevate the overall taste even more. Service was fast, professional, and made the whole evening feel effortless. A special shout-out to the sommelier, as the wine pairing really enhanced the steak. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with an understated sense of luxury that elevates the overall experience. For dessert, my girlfriend ordered the crème brûlée, and even though I’m not usually into desserts, I genuinely enjoyed it. Would definitely come back.”

Their restaurants, Topaz (upscale) and Khema (casual, though still luxurious), hold a special place in my heart, and I absolutely love both of them.
