Auf der Au Garden German buffet

“Es ist besonders lecker！ Every friend from Europe or Australia mentions this restaurant, but having lived in Germany for a while, I'm a bit resistant to German food, especially pork chops every day… But!!! This place is absolutely delicious, much better than restaurants in Berlin, especially their desserts. The apple pie reminded me of my old days. Lunch is only 250 baht, less than $8 USD for a delicious meal. Thank you, owner! I'm craving egg sauce again!”

“The owner and the staff are very friendly. The food is so delicious! Potatoes made every way you can think of in many different kinds of meats which are so tender and moist. If you visit Chiang Mai make sure and don't miss this place.”

“Very nice German buffet with good service and very good food. As it’s German, the entrees are meat forward and heavy. There’s sausages, stuffed cabbages, chicken, beef and more pork. Several types of potatoes and a salad counter with potato, egg and macaroni salads plus. The desserts are substantial with all the ice cream you can wish for. Some of the meats were ok while others were excellent. It’s definitely worth trying for something different here in Chiang Mai. Do get reservations as there’s no wait when you do.”

“I visited for a Sunday branch at 11 am and the place was packed, I had to wait for the seat for 15 minutes. The waitresses were super friendly and helpful. The buffet lines were sumptuous with array of variety of German dishes. I tried to sample every items but it seemed impossible, thus I chose some of the highlight dishes, including the German Crispy Pork Knuckle, the variety of German Sausages with homemade sauerkraut. There were also some vegetarian dishes as well as fresh salad bars with cold cuts. Please pace yourself carefully and leave some space for desserts as there were all kinds of sweetness from cookies to cheesecakes and tarts. My favorite was the rich German Chocolate Cake that went well with hot tea or coffee (which was provided without additional cost). All in all, this all-you-can-eat brunch cost only 300 Thai Baht (price as of November 2025).”
