Galmaegi Korean BBQ - Restaurant Bali 한식당

“This was actually my second time eating at Galmaegi Korean BBQ in Kuta. I tried it before and it was so good that I seriously craved it again. So here I am, back for round two and it’s still just as delicious 😭🔥 This time I ordered two meats: Mapo Galmaegi and Pork Collar, plus two bowls of rice. The flavors are still authentically Korean, not adjusted for local taste, which is exactly why I love this place. The side dishes are complete: salad, pajeon, seaweed, kimchi, fluffy egg, macaroni salad, fresh veggies with chili & garlic, and several dipping sauces. Everything was tasty, refills were fast, and the staff were friendly and attentive. They also serve free cold tea with unlimited refills: small detail, but such a bonus. The meat quality is solid: fresh, thick cuts, and cooked nicely. My favorite is still the marinated Mapo Galmaegi: sweet, flavorful, and so satisfying. I didn’t order any fatty cuts, but the meat I had had a good balance. Cooking time is reasonable, and you can grill it yourself or ask the staff to help (they can even grill it at another station). Price wise, it’s worth it. Each serving is 150g, and compared to other Korean BBQ places in Bali, this one is pretty affordable with plenty of options depending on your budget. The restaurant is clean, tables are spacious, and the ventilation is good, they have AC plus lots of fans, so it doesn’t get overly smoky. Perfect for a casual dinner, preferably two people or more. Location wise, it’s easy to find since it’s right on the main road in Kuta, with available parking. The area is lively and convenient for dining. Overall? No surprise, I’d definitely come back again (and again 😆). It’s 100% worth recommending, and still a solid 5/5 ⭐️ If you’re craving authentic Korean BBQ with great service, generous side dishes, and good prices, this place is one of the best options in Bali.”

“I’m not usually a big fan of Korean food, but I had such a delightful lunch here. The service really stood out — the staff were super attentive and very helpful, especially with the cooking and explaining the dishes. I normally don’t like kimchi, but theirs was surprisingly different and actually really nice. We tried the pork dish (forgot the name 😄), and the staff helped cook it for us, which made the experience even better. The place has plenty of seating, and there’s parking available at the back entrance, which is really convenient. Definitely a pleasant visit overall, would come back for Korean dish cravings.”

“I really love eating here! The food is always so good . The meat quality is amazing, juicy and flavorful every time. Their side dishes are tasty too, I could literally eat them all day 😂 The place is also super close to my house so it’s really convenient whenever I’m craving Korean food. The staff are always friendly and quick to help, and the whole place just feels nice and cozy. Honestly, one of my favorite spots to eat at.”
